SWAMPS SUNDAY 21.2.16

   SWAMPS SUNDAY 21.2.16

Another seemingly perfect day for flying, clear sunny conditions with light winds and no less than 6 members trying out some new  and regular models. Bob H first on the seen  with his collection of heli's and a couple of little electric sticks Brad C, Martin T, Matt and myself as described below and Fred C with his Saito 65 powered Dragon Lady. The day started well but those light winds became a problem, you will always see more damage done in no wind day, than a windy one. Faster landings and lots of runway, some into the rough , see  under carts departing models and other minor damage.

Brads Red Zephyr and a smart looking Fairchild, as indicated below. According to Brad built many years back but never flown. Interesting first flight with the Red Zephyr, Fred C at the controls . The Zephyr all over the sky and then somehow getting it back on terra firma, only to discover that they hadn't put the  transmitter aerial up, 36 meg.........

Right is Martin T's two new 60 size trainers, the Boomerang with a OS 60 fitted and the one nearest with a Super Tiger 60 fitted. Both took some trimming to get set up and some minor adjustments, but both flew well after that. Below is Matt's revamped Skyraider, also had a large electric P47 and a new 60 size low wing trainer, Sporster type, both Matt and Martin had got onto a fella with lots of models for sale and they went shopping.......

Left are my two Spitfires, Saito 180 fs in the closest one and OS 120 fs in the trusty CMPro one. The 180 version on the ground after the muffler came off and was hanging on the pressure line, I was  forced to get down quickly and those light winds made for a faster landing resulting in a retract departing
