G'Day all
Saturday 3/12/16 the field will be closed due to the pattern flyers having their comp at
our field. And don't forget on sunday 4/12/16 our xmas get together BBQ. The day was over cast but the wind was around 20kms
Fred C put up his dragon lady for a hair raising flying skills test.
Matt J brought out his dragon lady gave it a crack and did some nice moves but the old timer had the edge.
As for Martin T it was a bad hair day. A picture tells a thousand words.

G.day all
Last friday was one of those few days you could flying. So fred C, matt J and martin T made the most of it. Sun was shining wind around 20 to 30 Ks and the field was short and green. Perfect
Matt J with a couple of his war birds a 3D,trainer and the dragon lady and if you check back in a previous blog matt did some serious damage and had to rebuild the fuse from the back of the wing forward. He did a good job, looks good and flies well. If any body has got a single drive prime mover with a dry pan trailer for sale see matt his trailer getting to small. just joking matt LOL
Fred C With the misfit and dragon lady. Fred likes to show of his pilot skills with both these planes and it's nice to watch. Good on you pal HA HA

Martin T's RV 4 only one toy for the day. Had about 4 good flies of it. A good day had by all except Chris H who was in the next paddock cutting hay sorry Chris PS the burgers tasted great to.
DON'T FORGET CHRISTMAS BREAK UP ON 4th DECEMBER

G'day all
Fred and I went for a fly this morning. The field is still a bit wet in patches the wind was all over the place around 25KPH. Patches of sunlight but over all a good day
Fred doesn't know the name of the plane he just got so I called it MISFIT he is very happy with it seeing it hasn't be flown for about 10 years My little brumby didn't like the wind much but it's still in one piece
Some of the big puddles on the field and with the forecast over the next few days it's not looking real good.

Sad news, David passed away Monday evening 25th of July.
David has had a long long medical fight, which he faced with unswerving bravery and cheerfulness.
He
was a founding member of SWAMPS and an absolutely passionate aero
modeler, flyer and competitor, he provided our first flying field on
his own property in Harkers Road, Lang Lang.
He leaves behind his wife Rebecca, children Christy, Owen and Alex, father Fred, and their extended families.
The Club wishes to acknowledge sympathy and support to his loved ones.

SWAMPS Sunday 28.2.16
SWAMPS Sunday 28.2.16
Hi all, another great day for flying, light winds early increasing a little after lunch. Bob H always first on the scene with his collection of Little Sticks, Heli's and even a Bixler glider. Neil Busby after a long holiday turned up early too, must of been in two minds as what to bring so why not bring them all, petrol powered Baja included. Below is a Big Stick that Neil recently purchased and wanted to test, OS GT 33 up front, run and flew well, as sticks do......Mike turned up later morning and put the Quad through its paces........
After changing the carby on the Saito 65 which caused a no idle problem last week, a run through the drain caused the under cart to depart from the Dragon Lady. Typical ARF as far as that goes. Engine run good though........
Myself and Alex with our trusty fleet, blew the dust of the Fokker DR1 for the Foster show so thought we would give it a go, hadn't started in 12 months and fired up first spin, flew just as well as it always did. A patched up wheel the only problem when I tried to turn on the field, $50 dollars for a new set?????

Foster Show 27.2.16
My own Fokker triplane and a Greens model Tiger Moth by organiser Brian Mellor. The electric Mustang yacht from a Walkerville Nth local, free flight models, tanks etc all from a Foster locals. My Large Spitfire and Alex's electric Cub in back ground.....
Still amazes me at the number of people who say, do they actually fly, also surprises me as how many people have planes and haven't flown them and talk of others in area that do. Hopefully that may change as a reported sighting of a few, flying models from a private strip at Stony Creek. I have been to this strip before in search of a full size Nanchang that gets around, there is a large hanger and some other buildings on big open paddock, but no one ever there when I have visited....
